Pradeep Sarkar was a prominent writer, art director, producer and director in the Hindi film industry. Before foraying into Bollywood he worked as a creative director in a leading advertising agency where he directed more than thousand commercials and music videos. He started his filmy career by joining Vidhu Vinod Chopra productions and assisting Rajkumar Hirani in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. He made his directorial debut with Parineeta in 2005 and thereafter went on to direct films like Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Lafangey Parindey, Mardaani and Helicopter Eela. He also directed OTT releases like Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala, Forbidden Love, Duranga, etc. He breathed his last in Mumbai at the age of 67.
