The Indian film and television actor, Satish Shah predominantly worked in Hindi and Marathi films. He started his acting career with a small role in the 1970 mythological film Bhagwan Parshuram. He then shifted his focus on to television and acted in a number of sitcoms and television soaps, before returning to films. Some important movies of his career include Umrao Jaan (1981), Shakti (1982), Purana Mandir (1984), Amrit (1986), Veerana (1988), Hatim Tai (1990), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Mujhse Dosti Karoge (2002), Om Shanti Om (2007), Bhoothnath (2008), Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013), and many more. In 1982, he married designer Madhu Shah. He breathed his last on 25 October 2025 in Mumbai at the age of 74.
