Born as Tajour Sultana, Veena was an Indian actress who started her career in Bollywood with pre-partition films. At the age of sixteen years, she made her debut in Indian cinema with Garib (1942). She has also acted in films like Najma (1943), Phool (1945), Humayun (1945), Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958), Kaagaz Ke Phool (1959), Taj Mahal (1963) and Pakeezah (1972).
