Ashaant is an action drama. The movie revolves around two honest police officers Vishnu (Vishnuvardhan) and Vijay (Akshay Kumar), who are also best friends. The two vow to bring peace in the country and eliminate crime. However, the mafia dons - Kaka (Jai Kalgutkar) and Rana (Punit) are operating their operations from Bangalore city. The officers plan to capture the two, and succeed in arresting Rana. However, he escapes and is all set to take revenge from the entire police force. Meanwhile, Kaka tries to create a misunderstanding between the two friends. Amidst all this, will Vishnu and Vijay continue to be together and fight back these mafia dons?
