Badhaai Ho is a coming-of-age family comedy-drama where an elderly man with two grown-up sons realizes that his wife is pregnant. The eldest son Nakul Kaushik (Ayushmann Khurrana) who is about to marry his long-time girlfriend Renee Sharma (Sanya Malhotra) faces embarrassment in the society along with the family. What happens next and how the family accepts and overcomes the situation of the newborn forms the remaining part of the story.
