Jab Khuli Kitaab is a light-hearted family drama set in a serene hill town of Uttarakhand. Gopal Nautiyal (Pankaj Kapur) spends his days caring for his comatose wife, Anusuya (Dimple Kapadia), beginning each morning with cheerful one-sided conversations beside her bed. In an unexpected twist, Anusuya suddenly regains consciousness and confesses that she once had a brief extramarital affair decades ago. Shaken by the revelation, Gopal demands a divorce after nearly fifty years of marriage. As buried truths surface—including doubts about Parmesh’s parentage—the family is thrown into emotional turmoil. Meanwhile, an eager local lawyer, Negi (Aparshakti Khurana), sees the unusual case as an opportunity in the otherwise quiet town, while the district magistrate (Manasi Parekh) watches the baffling situation unfold with curiosity.
