Maa is a fantasy revenge drama. The movie revolves around a businessman named Ram Khanna (Jeetendra), who lives with his elder brother, Murli Manohar (Shakti Kapoor), and his wife, Maya (Aruna Irani). One day, Ram meets an astrologer, who informs him that he’ll get married to a girl whose name starts with M. He does meets such girl, Mamta (Jaya Prada), who is the daughter of a prostitute. However, she doesn’t receive a warm welcome in Ram’s home. Soon after, Ram and Mamta become parents to a baby boy. Sometime later, Mamta is killed by a hitman hired by Murli Manohar and her body is hidden. Even dead, Mamta’s spirit returns to protect her child from evil plans of Murli Manohar and his wife. Will she be able to expose their real faces in front of Ram?
