Mohabbatein is a story about a disciplined dean of a college who is very strict about rules and doesn't entertain any change. In comes a music teacher who not just wants to bring in some changes but also change the attitude of some people and students which goes against the dean's wishes. After a few situations and verbal conflicts, the dean feels its time for him to move on and allow the newer generation to take over the reins after realizing that he had lost his only daughter due to his stubbornness because his late daughter had committed the crime of falling in love with none other than the music teacher when she was in college.
