Param Dharam is an action crime drama. The movie revolves around a young woman named Savitri (Moushumi Chatterjee), who lives in a village with her family. One day, her sister is molested by a dacoit named Shamshera (Amrish Puri), but she is rescued by Vijay (Mithun Chakraborty), who later falls in love with Savitri. However, Vijay is killed by Shamshera, and sometime later Savitri gives birth to a baby boy, but she is told that it was still born. Years later, she meets a man named Ravi (Mithun Chakraborty), and is shocked to see the resemblance between him and her former lover. It is then she realizes that she was wronged by those who also killed Vijay, and vows vengeance. Will Savitri finally unite with her estranged son and set the scores right with her lover’s killers?
