Shart is a mystery thriller drama. The movie revolves around an honest cop, Inspector Arjun Dutt (Kanwaljit Singh), who is assigned the murder mystery case. A series of brutal murders of the prostitutes have been happening in the city, and Inspector Arjun only has a part of a picture/photograph as a clue to reach the culprit. The series of clues make him reach Vikram (Naseeruddin Shah). It is revealed that Vikram is none other than Arjun’s old friend, who once had romantic feelings for Kiran (Shabana Azmi), whom Arjun too loved. Will the old rivalry between the two friends make Arjun biased towards Vikram?
