Phool Aur Kaante is an action romantic drama. The movie follows the story of a young man named Ajay (Ajay Devgn), who is the only son of criminal don Nageshwar (Amrish Puri), who has a vast criminal empire. Ajay wants a peaceful life, unlike his father, and so does his wife Pooja (Madhoo), thus the two start living away from Nageshwar, and lead a crime free life. However, things take a turn when Ajay’s baby boy Gopal is kidnapped. Nageshwar suggests Ajay to rejoin the world of crime to find his son. Will Ajay accept his father’s advice and take the path of crime for his son?
